Over coffee in the award-winning cafe, they chatted with Ben White, Retail Operations Manager at St. Andrew’s Healthcare, who spoke about what Workbridge is all about and the people they serve.

Workbridge is a unique environment that provides people with mental illness, autism, learning disabilities or brain injury with the tools they need to gain confidence and develop work and life skills.

Ben said: “From one shopping center to another we would like to thank the team at Weston Favell Shopping Center for their generosity. The money is well spent to continue improving our facilities that help enrich the lives of our service users and volunteers.

“We have a very special team here and we are very proud of our work. Our environment provides people with mental illness, autism, learning disabilities or brain injury with the tools they need to gain self-confidence, develop work and life skills, while providing the public with colorful plants, gifts, delicious coffee and cake and more .

“Although we’ve been in the trade for over 40 years, many people in Northampton don’t know what we’re doing here. So why not stop by and try our freshly baked cakes at the award-winning Workbridge Café, or visit our busy garden centre?”

Weston Favell shopping center community fund has donated more than £3,000 to local charities in recent weeks.

The fund consists largely of monies raised through their Honesty Library at the mall which they have redistributed to the local community including The Lewis Foundation, Guide Dogs, 43rd Northampton Scout Group, Wellingborough Swimming Club, Growing Together Northampton, The Northampton Gang Show and The Northampton Hope Centre.
