Chipotle with drive thru may be coming to Hamilton, NJ

my friends at Mercer eats and Jersey excavations are reporting that a new Chipotle Mexican Grill may be coming to Hamilton Township, Mercer County soon.

It would be located at 249 Route 33 and the corner of Whitehorse-Mercerville Road…across from Mercerville Shopping Center and Applebees. The municipality recently demolished a Lukoil petrol station on this site.

As large as Hamilton Township is, this would be the first Chipotle Mexican Grill in town. Submitted by Mercerville Equities, LLC, plans call for the new restaurant to have a drive-through, digital pickup zone and outdoor seating area. There will also be 17 parking spaces if you wish to go inside.

the proposed fast food restaurant requires multiple approvals from the Hamilton Township Zoning Board of Adjustment before proceeding. A virtual hearing is scheduled for tonight (Tuesday, February 8) at 6 p.m. It is open to the public.

I hope it gets approved because that would make it the only drive-thru Mexican Chipotle Grill in the area. The other locations in Mercer County… Mercer Mall in Lawrenceville and West Windsor at Lowe’s Mall have no drive-thru.

A drive-thru is a game charger for many people, including me. When the weather is bad or cold like now, it is so convenient.

Rumor has it that Chipotle Mexican Grill would be coming to Hamilton Marketplace on Route 130, but nothing has been confirmed or denied. I heard Chick fil A was moving across the street to the old Ruby Tuesdays and Chipotle Mexican Grill was going where the current Chick fil A is. Hmmm. Lets see what happens.

I’ll let you know if I hear anything else.
